RPP Hiring: Build Plan and Indeed Partnership Path

Prepared 2026-09-02 · For Ace · Supersedes the JazzHR options memo
Decision

Build hiring natively in RPP as a sellable product for hotel operators, covering both hourly and salaried roles. JazzHR retired.

Because you want to sell it, building in RPP is now the right call, not a workaround. Indeed certifies software that serves many client employers, which is exactly what a sellable RPP hiring product is.

Sequencing (updated): test the RPP workflow first with a 1 or 2 hotel pilot, which needs zero Indeed integration. The slow Indeed certification happens later and runs through NeoTeams, your own recruiting company, on Indeed's agency partner track. NeoTeams then pipes applicant data into RPP.

01The 2026 Indeed reality that shapes the whole plan

Indeed changed the rules this year, and it is why this is a partnership play, not a free pipe you can quietly build.

As of March 31, 2026, Indeed stopped giving free organic visibility to jobs sent through a feed without a supported ATS-Indeed-Apply integration. Free self-posting is now capped at 3 posts per month with 30-day visibility, down from 120 days.

Translation: there is no free direct pipe left to build. Real Indeed traffic in 2026 requires one of three things: an ATS that is an Indeed partner, becoming an Indeed partner yourself, or paying for sponsored posts one by one.

02Do not wait on Indeed to start: test first

The Indeed certification is the long pole and it is gated by Indeed. The workflow test is not, so decouple them.

Becoming an Indeed partner requires a signed Developer Agreement and a 6-week integration-and-review cycle on Indeed's side once you apply, per Indeed's own partner docs, and the full application-plus-legal path realistically stretches to months. That is too slow to gate a test behind. The fix: the test needs zero Indeed integration. Build the RPP hiring workflow, source candidates through channels you already have (a cheap Indeed sponsored post, NeoTeams' existing Indeed account, referrals, Facebook), and funnel every applicant into the RPP form. The Indeed API is a sourcing optimization added later, not a prerequisite to test.

The partner entity is NeoTeams. Indeed runs a dedicated agency and third-party-platform track for Indeed Apply, which is a more natural fit for a recruiting company than for RPP-as-software walking in cold. NeoTeams is your own company, so you own the partnership outright. When it certifies, NeoTeams holds the Indeed Apply webhook and pipes applicant data straight into the same RPP pipeline the GMs already use.

03The phased build plan

PhaseWhat gets builtWhy nowDuration
1. Test MVP in RPP Job reqs per hotel, RPP-hosted careers page and apply form, applicant pipeline, GM roles, two apply modes (text-first hourly, structured salaried). Pilot with 1 or 2 hotels. Validates the real question: does hiring-in-RPP with GMs in the loop work and get adopted. Needs no Indeed integration. Starts now
2. NeoTeams Indeed partnership NeoTeams applies on Indeed's agency track, builds Indeed Apply + Job Sync + Disposition Sync, then pipes applicant data into RPP. The long pole, gated by Indeed. Runs in the background while the test proves out. Nothing from Phase 1 gets thrown away. In parallel,
lands later
3. Productize Multi-tenant, billing, onboarding for outside operators. Turns the internal tool into a sellable RPP line. After 1 & 2
prove out

04What "both hourly and salaried" forces into the design

Hourly and salaried are different hiring motions. The product needs two apply modes from day one.

Hourly mode

Housekeeping, front desk, maintenance. Mobile, text-first, apply in under a minute. Built for high volume and high turnover.

Salaried mode

GM and management. Structured resume-and-pipeline flow, lower volume, more screening depth.

Building only one and bolting the other on later is the classic mistake, and it is exactly why JazzHR (salaried-first) never did the hourly hiring justice.

05Sourcing candidates during the test

The test does not wait on the Indeed API. Drive candidates to the RPP apply form through channels you already have: a cheap Indeed sponsored post, NeoTeams' existing Indeed employer account, referrals, and social. Every applicant funnels into the RPP pipeline, so you test the full GM workflow with real candidates and real hires while the NeoTeams partnership certifies in the background.

If a heavier interim tool is ever wanted, HigherMe has held Indeed Platinum Partner status 3 consecutive years, 2024, 2025, and 2026 and handles both role types, but for a 1 or 2 hotel test it is not needed.

First moves

  1. Pick the pilot: 1 or 2 hotels whose GMs will actually give feedback. Start narrow, not all 15.
  2. Build the RPP test MVP (reqs, careers page, pipeline, GM roles, two apply modes). Ships through RPP's normal deploy, real from day one.
  3. Source candidates through existing channels into the RPP form. No Indeed integration required to test.
  4. Kick off the NeoTeams Indeed application in the background so the partnership is certifying while the test runs, not after.
  5. Design multi-tenant-ready from day one, since the intent is to sell it. Retrofitting multi-tenancy later is expensive.
